Joseph Stalin and Totalitarianism
Joseph Stalin was the dictator of Russia for many years. He ruled with a method called totalitarianism which is were he has absolute power over everyone and everything. They also use propaganda to their advantage by saying things that would inspire fear into the Russian people. He also ruled with the idea of communism because he thought that when the czar was ruling that it was not right against the people of Russia and that everyone should share the wealth not just one person. Stalin was a harsh leader against the people of Russia the country could not socially and economically advance because of that the fact that he would not like to socialize with other countries
Causes of WWI
There were many causes to ww1. WW1 was between the Germans ,British , Austria-Hungary , France and Eventually the United States. One main cause of ww1 was that the arch-duke of Austria-Hungary Franz Ferdinand was assassinated and they then started pointing fingers at different countries. So then they started spending money on manufacturing weapons and they started stockpiling weapons in any event of war. The arch duke was assassinated by a Serbian nationalist of the Serbian nationalist movement known as the black hand. after it was known that it was the Serbians who committed the murder, Germany pressured Austria-Hungary to attack Serbia and convinced that the Serbian had conspired against them, they handed the Serbians an ultimatum which was a demand which if they did not meet it result in war.

DR.ZHIVAGO
Dr. Zhivago was a movie about russian doctor's first hand look at the russian revolution and what russia looked like at that time and what it did to people and how it changed russia forever. Dr. Zhivago depicted the russian revolution as chaotic and many died. There were many reasons why the russians wanted change. One of the reasons was that while the czar was comfortable and living a good life the people of russia were dying off starvation and poverty and they wanted change. The film depicted communism as like fair and everyone shares the wealth but that actually wasnt the case. Dr. Zhivago when he got to his house he saw that as much as fifteen families were in his house and he lived in a pretty big house because he was more fortunate than other people because he was a well paid doctor. That was his first hand look at communism in action
